There was an eccentric priest and a cynical technician who were the funniest and most entertaining parts of the film, but in hindsight, mostly useless for the plot. I guess this movie wasn`t boring because it was rooted in technology and phones. Some movies tend to use technology as a crutch to advance the plot, for example, with texts between characters. But in Countdown, phones only appear when the app yries at them and warns them of their imminent death. Quinn announces a plan to date her younger sister Jordan and her father before being informed that she has broken the user agreement. She researches the app, learns about Courtney, and that similar things have happened to other users of the app, but they are considered fake.
